Vision
To create a future where more people experience work as meaningful, healthy and fulfilling.
The Workaround started with a simple idea: work shouldn't have to feel this heavy.
At 18, our founder, D'xien, had no idea what she wanted to do after school. Through conversations with people trying to figure this out, she noticed a pattern:
Too many people were deeply unhappy at work. They were living for weekends, dreading Monday mornings, or feeling stuck in their careers. Of course, every job has parts that aren't enjoyable. But she couldn't shake the feeling that work shouldn't have to feel this heavy.
That curiosity eventually led her to Industrial and Organisational Psychology — a field dedicated to understanding people at work. Today, D'xien is a registered Industrial Psychologist (or, as she likes to call it, a Work Psychologist) because she believes that when people thrive, organisations thrive too. That belief became the foundation for The Workaround.
We partner with individuals and organisations to better understand what's getting in the way of meaningful, fulfilling work. Through honest conversations, evidence-based psychology and practical solutions, we help create better experiences of work — making work a little lighter, one workaround at a time.
To create a future where more people experience work as meaningful, healthy and fulfilling.
To make work a little lighter by helping individuals and organisations better understand their people and design practical, sustainable solutions that improve both wellbeing and performance.
The best solutions begin with understanding.
We ask better questions to uncover better solutions.
Real change comes from solutions people can actually use.
We're interested in lasting improvements, not temporary fixes.
Book a discovery call or coaching session online at a time that suits you. We'll take the time to understand what's getting in the way — and where we can help.
